It's 2013!

It's a new year, time for some sort of resolution I guess, right? I know I used to blog a decent amount in the past but I've been slacking pretty badly this last year. I'm glad I've been so busy so it's made it harder to blog but I've missed staying connected! So that's going to change!

2012 was a pretty great year for me. It's a long process trying to get your name out there and I can't help but love it. It can be stressful and scary at times but it's worth it.

I had a lot of shows this past summer and it's been really fun! I've met some really great people and made new friends! There's nothing like the support from friends and family to keep you going!

This is one of my BFFs. She has taken a few photos of me and done a little modeling for my hand painted tees!
She's also rocking some bobbin earrings I made! I'm so thankful for her support!

Of course I've also had so much help from family. If you remember, March 2012 I had my first ever photo shoot, shot by my lovely cousin Michelle.

All the lovely models did such a great job!!

My wonderful mother has been a constant support for me every step of the way, I could never do this without her.
This was during our adventure in Queens, NY!

During the BUST Magazine Craftacular!

Another exciting event was first of all meeting my new friend Nadine and being involved in a few photo shoots. including one for RosMari Brand!

Photos shot in Little Falls, NY. These lovely ladies did a great job!

Check out more of Nadine's work here!

All in all 2012 has been exciting but I look forward to making 2013 even better!
Thank you so much to all of you for the continued support!!

Spring Collection "Captivating Night" Preview

Just wanted to give you another small peek at my Spring collection!

Inspiration

I'm so excited about what's to come! I am planning a photo shoot for all items the beginning of March so I hope you're looking forward to seeing everything!

I am going with an edgy and chic look this season. Perhaps colors that may be darker then the typical Spring looks but I'm not a "typical" person and my designs reflect that.

Please comment, let me know what you think!

Craft show, Mother's Day, and a new hat.

Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mothers out there!(including pet mothers)

The craft show I had yesterday was pretty fun! I was able to spend some time with a friend of mine who has her own clothing business too called DRD Designs. She's great!

My set up was a little smaller than usual.

This is my new hat.

What do you think??

I thought it was pretty fun. I can also put a barrette or pin on it to jazz it up! Fun fun!!

I have another craft show this weekend at the Glimmerglass State Park in Cooperstown, NY. Come see me! There's lots of fun to be had!

Neck Art.

I just wanted to write a short blog about the recycled tee shirt neck art that I make and the fun ways to wear it.

Twisted twice around neck.

Simply just draped over your head.

One of my favorite ways, tied in half and over the head. It creates different interesting layers.

Some strands twisted over your head create an edgy, fun look.

There are SO many ways to have fun with these. I have many colors and styles so you can be as creative as you want with them. They create interest to any outfit. Wear in summer with a tank top and you can still look cool while keeping cool!

Do you have any other ideas of how to wear RosMari Brand Neck Art?

Mama and Me.

OK so you have heard me talk about my dog Mama and I know you've seen some photos of her too. This morning I want to show you more photos of her. I often do photo shoots with her, not that she's happy about it. She's really quite camera shy but I don't care, she's so darn adorable I can't help myself. So for your viewing pleasure-Mama and me!

Sunkissed.

Good morning everyone!
I decided to take Monday off from a post, I hope you didn't miss me too much. Actually I hope you did miss me because I missed you guys!
Anyway, today I have lots to do, I have been going tanning a little bit...I don't usually do such things and it's quite foreign to me but I am going to Myrtle Beach next week (only for 3 days) and I don't want to get too burnt while there. I figured getting nice base tan wouldn't be too bad for me...I guess? This is what I am wearing this morning.

I just love this jacket. Probably my new favorite addition to my wardrobe.
The top I made last year, it's super cool with silver skulls all over.
The belt is thrifted.

After I get back from tanning, I plan to do lots of sewing for the Indie Garage Sale! It's only 4 days away! AHHHHH!!! It's getting down to the wire! I'm sort of nervous, I'm sure it'll be fine but still, it's nerve racking! My cousin is going to be helping me there so that helps.

Anyway, I'm off to get darkened! Haha.

Upcoming: Online Auction & Indie Garage Sale

Ello my loves.

This morning I attended church with my dad! Sadly our current pastor is leaving soon, he is a really great man with a wonderful sense of humor so it's really sad to see him go.

The rest of this day I am planning on just relaxing which will be very nice.
I don't remember if I told you in previous posts but as a recap - I donated some items to Upcycled by Ash for the online auction she is hosting to benefit the National Wildlife Federation. She received them yesterday and I think she's pretty pleased!

This is what I donated:

All fabrics are secondhand or thrifted. For all items the total comes to $49.50. Not too shabby I don't think. I am so excited to participate in this online auction, I hope it does well!! I will surely keep you updated on that.

Also, don't forget, this weekend, April 16th is the Indie Garage Sale from 11AM-7PM!!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the day!! Find me on twitter!

I really love my new jacket! And the sun!

Kickin' it Old School.

Today I decided to write a post about some old school stuff!! First of all an old photo of me. This was taken while I was making a semi formal dress in 2005.

That photo was only in the middle 2000's. But the decades worth remembering are the 80's and 90's. Since I was so young in the 80's I don't exactly remember the fashion, however I can look back at see what everyone was wearing. Stuff like this:

The 1990's

It's epic really.

What happened to the good ole days?

I think some of the fashions from both time periods are coming back though. I see a lot of over-sized tees and off the shoulder tops worn with leggings. I love it all.
How about you? What's your favorite fashion from the 80's or 90's?
