Paradise - The IGS

OK so maybe paradise is a little excessive but I loved the Indie Garage Sale this past weekend!

I had a lot of wonderful folks stop by. Some new customers and some return customers. I can't explain to you how much it means to me when you come back to support me. Especially when I see you wearing the items you bought from me before! It puts a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Even though we all only had 6ft to work with, we were all able to make it work! I was happy with my setup even though it was a bit crowded looking.

Tons of people were crowded at the show pretty much the WHOLE time.

I had an amazing time and I can't wait for more shows next Spring! Have a happy week!

We Found Love - Lace Earrings!

I have never really been that interested in making jewelry; however, on a recent trip to Vermont I was inspired to make lace earrings. As you know, it's hard for me to make symmetrical things because asymmetry is just so interesting. I have managed, though, to make two of the same earrings that are interesting and super fun!

I love the fact that they look like feathers. So they are animal friendly feather inspired earrings! I have also been cutting out different shapes in the lace and made them into earrings.

They are certainly unique!

I will be selling a lot more this weekend at the Indie Garage Sale and they will also be on my Etsy shop so stay tuned!

I am SO excited about this summer and fall! Even though, I don't like cold weather, the great craft shows warm my soul!

July 16-17: Sackets Harbor, NY - CAN-AM Festival

August 6: Gloversville, NY - Railfest 10AM-8PM (I'm assuming they will update the page soon)

August 13: Little Falls, NY - Chicks Along the Canal 10AM-5PM
Along with that craft show, they will also be putting on a Reclaimed Fashion Show which I also plan to be involved in.

August 20-21: Clinton, NY - The Indie Garage Sale 11AM-6PM Saturday and 11AM-4PM Sunday

September 10: Little Falls, NY - Garlic Fest 10AM-5PM

October 22: Syracuse, NY - Salt City Art & Craft Market 10AM-6PM

November 5: Rochester, NY - Mayday! Underground Crafts + Art 10AM-5PM

Titanic Experience

First of all, Happy Birthday to my wonderful brother, Eric!!!

Last night my lovely mother and I went to a local theater for a wine and chocolate tasting "Titanic Experience" Event. As you may or may not know it has been 99 years since the tragic accident in the Atlantic. The Stanley Theater did a wonderful job creating a fun atmosphere for hundreds of dressed up men and women. My mom and I got dolled up, drank some wine and ate some cheese. We also watched Titanic with the handsome Leonardo DiCaprio and lovely Kate Winslet. Overall it was fun just to dress up and go out on the town!

It was a great time. Lots of fun and I just love getting dressed up!

Good morning everyone!
I decided to take Monday off from a post, I hope you didn't miss me too much. Actually I hope you did miss me because I missed you guys!
Anyway, today I have lots to do, I have been going tanning a little bit...I don't usually do such things and it's quite foreign to me but I am going to Myrtle Beach next week (only for 3 days) and I don't want to get too burnt while there. I figured getting nice base tan wouldn't be too bad for me...I guess? This is what I am wearing this morning.

I just love this jacket. Probably my new favorite addition to my wardrobe.

The belt is thrifted.

After I get back from tanning, I plan to do lots of sewing for the Indie Garage Sale! It's only 4 days away! AHHHHH!!! It's getting down to the wire! I'm sort of nervous, I'm sure it'll be fine but still, it's nerve racking! My cousin is going to be helping me there so that helps.

Anyway, I'm off to get darkened! Haha.

Upcoming: Online Auction & Indie Garage Sale

Ello my loves.

This morning I attended church with my dad! Sadly our current pastor is leaving soon, he is a really great man with a wonderful sense of humor so it's really sad to see him go.

The rest of this day I am planning on just relaxing which will be very nice.
I don't remember if I told you in previous posts but as a recap - I donated some items to Upcycled by Ash for the online auction she is hosting to benefit the National Wildlife Federation. She received them yesterday and I think she's pretty pleased!

This is what I donated:

All fabrics are secondhand or thrifted. For all items the total comes to $49.50. Not too shabby I don't think. I am so excited to participate in this online auction, I hope it does well!! I will surely keep you updated on that.

Also, don't forget, this weekend, April 16th is the Indie Garage Sale from 11AM-7PM!!

Rotterdam Mall Weekend Fun.
