Fall Shows and Fun Stuff!

Is everyone keeping warm today??

It's awfully chilly in my neck of the woods. A good day for tea, soup, and sewing! Which is what I've been doing a lot of!

October 29th I will at the Upcycled Art Show at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY! I hope to see you all there!

I am also working on new items for the Mayday! Underground Show in Rochester, NY on November 5th!

Also, the first 50 customers will receive swag bags at the door filled with lots of goodies, including a coupon from me that can only be used at Mayday! So don't miss out!

On another note, I am going to Pittsburgh this weekend with my cousin! I think it's going to be a great time! Meet some new people maybe network a little bit, who knows! Either way it'll be nice to get away for some fun! I'm sure, I'll update you with some photos when I return!

Busy Birthday!

I have been so busy this week! Not only have I been doing a lot of sewing but I have also been doing a lot of running around with friends and family since I won't be around for my actual birthday!

I went out with some friends and got sushi!

Then I had some family over for a little dinner and dessert. Sadly I don't have any other photos other than this cute one!

My cousin made a special bag for me, so cute!

New knuckle owl ring from my BFF and a new barrette/pin I made!

And a real good friend of mine made this lovely accessory display for me!!! He's awesome and I can totally give you his name and number if you're looking for a new display! ;)

I love it can I can't wait to use it this weekend!

I have the Sugar Loaf Fall Festival this whole weekend!! I'm quite nervous but mostly excited! I hope to see you all there!

I have a lot to finish up before I leave so I better get moving!

Chilly October Afternoon

Happy October!!
Today I went to a small craft show in my hometown just to check out the scenes and perhaps network with people. I had a pretty good time wandering around looking at the crafts and many baked goods! Then when I decided to leave I discovered something pretty interesting...I lost my car keys!!!

Looking like a fool waiting to get a spare key,

Thankfully, my brother and his girlfriend were able to bring me my spare key.

While I waited I took the liberty to take a photo of the newest bag I made!

It has a nice long strap, perfect to just throw over your shoulder and go! It holds all the necessities- camera, cell phone, wallet, chapstick!

I have a lot of preparation to do for my birthday weekend craft show! I'm getting a little nervous!! I hope it goes well!

Harvest Festival!

Had a wonderful and much needed great weekend! Lots of fun stuff going on in Sharon Springs and I couldn't be happier! Met so many wonderful and lovely people and enjoyed the sunshine!

There were even some owls from a wildlife rescue!!! SOOOOOOO cute I couldn't stand it!

Overall it was a wonderful time and people responded very well to my products! Harvest Festival is a must for next year! Thanks to all who came out to visit, say hello and support me! I couldn't do this without you all!

My next show is in Sugar Loaf, NY October 8-10! I have lots of work to do to get my inventory back up! What an exciting problem to have! Heehee.

Chicks Along the Canal

In Little Falls, NY some wonderful chicks put on an amazing show yesterday. I had one of the best times I have had at a show in a long time. Probably the best time EVER! Sold a lot of items and even got interviewed for the Utica OD which is a paper a lot of folks read! I didn't expect that! Check out the story online. It's also in the actual paper as well.

The chicks also put on a Reclaimed Fashion Exhibit showing that you can find fashionable items from secondhand stores. This was the handmade dress I presented:

Railfest Fun.

Good morning all!

Yesterday I was in Gloversville, NY for the annual Railfest! It started off a pretty good day!

Met a lot of nice people and made a few sales which is always nice!

It started raining around 3PM and by 6PM the vendors had to leave because of the downpour. Why does it seem that all these shows in NY always get rained out?!

On the drive back, though, I saw this awesome sign it's possibly the worst quality:

Normal is a cycle on a washing machine.

I thought that was pretty funny and true, if everyone was "normal" life wouldn't be fun!

Next up I will be in Little Falls, NY at Chicks Along the Canal.

I will also be in a fashion show during the craft show! I'm pretty nervous but mostly excited! I just hope it all goes well!

New camera, new photos!

My lovely and wonderful mother surprised me yesterday with a new camera. It's awesome!! Check out some of the great photos my best friend took for me!

Those are just a few. I love my new camera though!! It has all different filters and setting to play with! Once I get better at it I'm sure I'll be posting more photos!

French Festival Prep

July 9th and 10th I have my first big festival! I'm pretty pumped about it but I have tons to do before I'm ready! I'm a little nervous but I think it will be alright. I wanted to give you a little peek at what I've been working on for the show.

From left to right we have: A purple tube top, gray leggings, a canvas bag, a long blue striped tee, and a coral dress. I know you can't exactly see the actual items but like I said, this is just a peek!

Monday morning sun.

Good day everyone!

Had a great Father's day yesterday! My dad is pretty much the only real man I know. He's so caring, trustworthy, and such a great example of what a man should be.

We went to dinner with him and I just wanted to share what I wore!

This Friday I have the Party on Park Street craft show in Fonda, NY. It's from 4-8PM. I hope to see you all there!!!!

Great time in Richfield Springs!

Had a wonderful show yesterday. Mostly because I got to spend some time with some new friends Laurie and Brooke. Laurie is the owner of DRD Designs! Check out her great jeans!

Brooke got a tank top from me and it looks so cute on her! Laurie got a great asymmetrical top which she has been eying since we met in March!

I sent a last minute application to a small show in Fonda, NY on June 24th! It's only from 4-8 but a radio station will be there as well as many great vendors (including DRD Designs!).

Next month I have the French Festival and the Can-Am Festival. I am so excited for both of those.

Back in the swing of things

I have been slacking so much with my blog! I apologize!

Now, after a week of some needed relaxation, it's back to the busy summer! This Saturday I have a craft show in Richfield Springs from 9AM-4PM. It's the 32nd annual show and I hear its super big and lots of fun. There are over 100 crafters that will be there. Including DRD Designs! Fun fun!

Amsterdam Tomorrow

Busy Life=Illness?

It seems to me that I have been running around so much lately and I may or may not be coming down with something. I suspect Mono but I really hope not. I just haven't been feeling myself at all lately.
Either way, I have another craft show this Saturday from 10A-6P. I'm pretty excited about it. It sounds like it's going to be a really good time! It on the Main Street in Amsterdam, NY. Fun fun.

I have been doing a bit more sewing lately but like I said, I haven't felt 100% so I have certainly been slacking off a bit, I hope it doesn't come back to bite me. Anyway, I just wanted to write a short update on what's been going on in life. Pray for my health! I need to stay strong so I can keep crafting and going to the craft shows!!

Glimmerglass this weekend!

Sorry I've been slacking off so much this week with posts. I've been super busy running around visiting family and of course sewing. I've also been painting some items too.
This weekend is my first outdoor show in Cooperstown, NY. It's at the Glimmerglass State Park! I'm pretty excited about it, there is a lot going on that day! Classic cars, a bouncy house, craft classes, as well as tons of craft vendors! I think it's going to be a great day! The craft show is from 10AM-4PM so I hope to see you out there!

Today I plan to set up my booth again with my tent just to see how it will look. I'm constantly changing my mind about how I want my space to look. Hopefully I can find something I will stick to..probably not though. Haha.

Craft show, Mother's Day, and a new hat.

Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mothers out there!(including pet mothers)

The craft show I had yesterday was pretty fun! I was able to spend some time with a friend of mine who has her own clothing business too called DRD Designs. She's great!

Rochester Bound.

Good morning all.

This morning I am preparing to start my travel to Rochester for the Mayday! Underground Sale! I couldn't be more excited! A little getaway all by my lonesome plus an awesome show to sell at!? What could be better!? I am staying in a quaint hotel, by quaint I just mean the cheapest, non insect infested place I could find. Haha.
Either way, I am ecstatic for this trip. I plan to leave about noon so I can get to the hotel and relax all evening, hopefully in the pool or gym...if it has either. I haven't even checked.
I am also so happy about my new hair. I took a few more photos like I promised.

Mayday! Sale Prep.

So yesterday I set up my booth in my living room just to see how it would look and to decide if I had to make any adjustments.

This is what I came up with:

I think I like it pretty well. More than likely when I get to the show this weekend I'll make some changes but as of now, I like it. Obviously you can't see the clothes rack in these photos but it's to the right of the big table.

Mayday! Underground this weekend!

I cannot wait for the Mayday! Sale this weekend in Rochester, NY. There will be so many great vendors and talented artists! I hope to see everyone there!

Today I am going to adjust my display to make it the best possible! It's pretty nice outside this morning so I'm pretty excited to spend some time outdoors setting everything up.
